Google (GOOG.O) rose 2%, media reported that it is developing new chips to improve AI model efficiency. The storage sector saw broad gains, SK Hynix (SKHY.O), Micron Technology (MU.O), SanDisk (SNDK.O) rose 4%, Western Digital (WDC.O), Seagate Technology (STX.O) rose about 3%.
