Xie Cun, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Director General of the Information and Communication Development Department, stated that in the past two years, more than 70 major computing power channels have been built around national computing power hub nodes, and the network performance between relevant computing power hub nodes has improved by 10%. The explosive growth of current AI large models and agent applications has led to a continuous increase in demand for intelligent computing power.
Next, the MIIT will continue to follow the work ideas of point, chain, network, surface, and systematization to optimize the deployment of computing power infrastructure resources, create computing power interconnection nodes, and improve the efficiency of computing power resource utilization. In terms of focusing on points, the ministry will optimize the supply deployment of computing power resources, coordinate factors such as industrial development and energy supply, promote the construction of intelligent computing clusters and the coordinated development of computing and electricity, create a tiered computing power layout, and strengthen comprehensive computing power monitoring. In addition, guidelines for the construction of the computing power standard system will be issued to promote the establishment of standards such as assessment of computing power service capabilities and market-oriented pricing of computing power.
