TechFlow news, July 17, Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) announced on July 16 the launch of the paid data product "Truth API", which will provide real-time post feeds from the top 10 most influential accounts on Truth Social (including Trump himself) to institutions such as banks and algorithmic trading companies at a speed significantly faster than ordinary push notifications. It is planned to officially go live on August 1, and clients have already signed contracts. The product will also provide 24/7 coverage and historical post archives dating back to 2022.
TMTG stated that this move marks the company's first entry into the data licensing sector, aiming to monetize the market influence of Trump's posts—previously, Trump has repeatedly announced major policies such as "Liberation Day" tariffs and trade restrictions on China via Truth Social, triggering severe volatility in global markets.
In response, senior Democratic Senator on the Senate Finance Committee Ron Wyden criticized that this move will benefit the Trump family and "make Wall Street traders rich". Legal experts, however, stated that tiered distribution of information by tech platforms does not violate federal securities laws.
