According to The Block, MoonPay announced the acquisition of Glide, a cryptocurrency deposit startup backed by Y Combinator, via an all-stock transaction; the specific transaction size was not disclosed. Founded in 2023, Glide primarily provides crypto asset deposit solutions across tokens, wallets, exchanges, and bank cards, supporting over 100 tokens and 30 blockchain networks, with an annualized trading volume exceeding $100 million.
MoonPay stated that Glide's technology and team will be merged into the company and integrated into the existing product MoonPay Deposits to optimize the user deposit process and reduce operational complexity caused by cross-chain bridging and asset exchange. This acquisition is the sixth acquisition announced by MoonPay in 2026.
