TechFlow news, July 16, according to CNBC reports, AI infrastructure startup Fireworks AI announced the completion of a $1.5 billion funding round, with the latest valuation reaching $17.5 billion. This round was led by Atreides Management, Index Ventures, and TCV, with participation from institutions such as NVIDIA, Evantic, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Fireworks AI has previously received support from NVIDIA, primarily providing cloud hosting services for open-source AI models to developers, helping enterprises deploy AI applications at lower costs. The company disclosed that its platform currently processes approximately 40 trillion AI tokens daily, with clients including enterprises such as Elastic, GitLab, and MongoDB. Reports indicate that more than half of Fireworks AI's early revenue came from the AI coding tool Cursor, but the current customer base has become more diversified.
