TechFlow reports that on July 13, Token Pocket Chief Business Officer Michael stated on platform X that Robinhood founder Vlad Tenev's seed phrase was leaked during his live stream. After hackers gained control of the address, they used the address and its associated addresses to buy the $1 token. Thousands of people followed suit and bought in, rapidly pushing the token's market cap from about $500,000 to $14 million. Subsequently, the price plummeted, with 2-hour trading volume reaching approximately $20 million. After the relevant addresses were frozen, hackers moved to BNB Chain, used the address and its associated addresses to issue new tokens and conduct buy and sell operations, and finally dumped to cash out.
