TechFlow reports, July 8, according to Reuters citing The Information, SpaceX AI and Cursor plan to release the first artificial intelligence model jointly developed by both parties as early as Wednesday. The model was originally scheduled to launch early this week, but was delayed due to efficiency optimization. The report pointed out that the new model is expected to possess strong rapid information processing capabilities, and some performance aspects may compete with Anthropic's Opus 4.8 and OpenAI's GPT 5.5.
Previously, SpaceX announced in June the acquisition of Cursor's parent company Anysphere in an all-stock transaction worth $60 billion, to strengthen its presence in the artificial intelligence tools market.
