TechFlow news, July 7, according to The Information, sources revealed that Zhipu is evaluating the possibility of designing self-developed AI chips to address the rapidly growing demand for its open-source GLM series large models and the shortage of computing power resources caused by US export restrictions, and it has recently made initial contact with some Chinese chip design companies to discuss cooperating on developing a custom AI processor optimized for its model operation scenarios.
