TechFlow News, June 27: According to The New York Times, Meta is developing a prediction market application named Arena. The report states that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has instructed company executives to explore potential collaborations with prediction market platforms such as Polymarket and Kalshi.
Arena is designed to allow users to predict and wager on outcomes related to politics, finance, sports, and other topics. Its target user base comprises individuals aged 18 to 34, with an anticipated monthly active user count of up to 100 million.
Unlike existing prediction market platforms, Arena currently plans to implement a points-based system rather than real-money betting, aiming to reduce regulatory risk and broaden user participation.
According to the report, the product remains in internal testing and may eventually integrate deeply with Facebook and Messenger, becoming part of Meta’s social ecosystem.
