TechFlow reports that on June 22, Taiko issued a security announcement confirming that its chain-state verification mechanism had been compromised, rendering the security assumptions of all cross-chain bridges deployed on Taiko unreliable. The team stated it is coordinating with the Security Council and ecosystem partners to address the incident—including, where feasible, pausing affected systems and implementing necessary technical and legal measures.
Taiko also strongly advises users to immediately withdraw funds from all bridges deployed on Taiko and urgently requests centralized exchanges to suspend TAIKO deposits pending further official notice. Additionally, the team has published multiple attacker addresses and indicated that further information will be disclosed shortly.
