TechFlow News, June 21: Eli Ben-Sasson (@EliBenSasson), CEO of StarkWare—an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution—stated in a post that he maintains a neutral stance toward the recent controversies involving the Ethereum Foundation, neither criticizing nor blindly defending it. He recounted StarkWare’s journey since 2019/2020 developing post-quantum secure ZK STARK systems for Ethereum, noting that the team’s technical choices—including STARKs, zkVM, Cairo, native account abstraction (AA), and Bitcoin scaling—were once perceived as “misaligned” with Ethereum but have since been adopted by multiple teams. He called on the future Ethereum ecosystem to prioritize technical merit and capability over “alignment,” and expressed willingness to collaborate more closely with Ethereum should this principle be realized.
