TechFlow reports that on June 18, Ionic Protocol was forced to cease operations permanently effective immediately following a hacker exploit in 2025, and instructed all users to withdraw their assets from all deployed chains as soon as possible. However, multiple users reported severe liquidity shortages across nearly all pools, preventing normal asset withdrawals. Additionally, some users have called for the full return of ezETH assets unaffected by the exploit; as of now, the official team has not released a public post-mortem report.
