TechFlow News: On June 18, Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, announced on X that the number of self-custodial wallets built using the open-source WDK technology has surpassed 100,000. This milestone demonstrates that open-source wallet development tools are accelerating their adoption in real-world cryptocurrency infrastructure, with continued growth in both user base and developer adoption within the self-custodial ecosystem.
Earlier reports indicated that WDK is an open-source wallet development kit supported by Tether, capable of integration into any device—from embedded systems to mobile, desktop, or server operating systems.
