TechFlow News, June 18: According to Bitget’s “Web3 Next-Generation Talent Insights Report,” the industry’s core challenge today is not a talent shortage but rather misalignment between hiring barriers and employment pathways. Multi-regional survey data from the Blockchain4Youth (B4Y) initiative reveals that 54% of respondents identify “prior experience” as the biggest barrier to entry for junior roles, while 52% point to a lack of hands-on skills in formal education.
Geographically and trend-wise, Web3 continues to attract highly educated talent and individuals from emerging markets. Nearly 46% of respondents are aged 23–30, and over 58% hold bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees. Regarding career preferences, 61% of respondents identify “AI and blockchain integration” as their most desired career path; additionally, 62% believe mentorship from seasoned industry professionals most effectively accelerates career development.
To date, the Blockchain4Youth Learning Center has registered over 10,000 learners. Upon course completion, participants receive certification and access to job opportunities—closing the loop from learning to career progression and supporting the industry’s next phase of growth.
