TechFlow News, June 17: According to the People’s Daily, a work team dispatched by the Ministry of Public Security successfully repatriated Liu Ren, a key member of the Chen Zhi criminal syndicate, from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Investigations revealed that in 2016, Chen Zhi directed Liu Ren and others to establish the Jinbei Group in Cambodia, which operated multiple online gambling platforms. Since 2020, the Jinbei Group has run telecommunications fraud parks in Cambodia, carrying out large-scale telecom and internet fraud crimes involving exceptionally huge sums of money. Additionally, Liu Ren is suspected of serious violent crimes including unlawful detention and intentional injury. Liu Ren has now been lawfully subjected to compulsory measures, and the related case is under further investigation.
