TechFlow reports that on June 15, according to the official website, Michael S. Selig, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), announced two senior personnel appointments: Donald Battle as Chief Data Innovation Officer, serving within the Data Division and joining the Innovation Task Force; and J. Matthew Haws as Senior Advisor to the Chairman’s Office and Chicago Regional Director.
Notably, Battle previously served on the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s Cryptocurrency Task Force and the Data Science Group within the Enforcement Division, bringing expertise in blockchain forensics, data science, and anti-money laundering. Haws, meanwhile, brings over 13 years of legal and compliance experience in derivatives markets.
