TechFlow News, June 15: According to The Block, Kraken has launched cryptocurrency perpetual futures trading in the United States, with these products available via Kraken Pro. This launch follows Kraken’s acquisition in May of Bitnomial—a U.S.-based exchange, clearinghouse, and broker holding a license from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
The report notes that the CFTC recently approved Kalshi to list the first official U.S. Bitcoin perpetual contract, as well as Coinbase’s launch of a five-year-long simulated perpetual futures contract.
