TechFlow News, June 12: According to GeekWire, Prometheus—an AI startup co-led by Jeff Bezos as co-CEO—has announced a $12 billion Series B funding round, valuing the company at approximately $41 billion. Investors include JPMorgan, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, DST Global, and Arch Venture Partners.
Prometheus is developing a “general-purpose artificial engineer” AI tool aimed at accelerating the design-to-manufacturing process for physical products such as bridges and chips. Jeff Bezos stated that the company currently has no IPO timeline and that early products are set to launch soon. Prometheus currently employs around 150 people, with teams based in San Francisco, London, and Zurich.
