TechFlow News, June 10: According to the Bangkok Post, Thai police raided a fraud operation in the Saraphi District of Chiang Mai Province, arresting 10 Chinese nationals and seizing 67 mobile phones, 7 iPads, and 13 laptop computers. Authorities stated that the group posed as employees of insurance companies and courier services to trick victims—primarily located in China—into installing malware designed to harvest personal information, enabling financial fraud. Payments were collected via cryptocurrency transactions. Investigations revealed that some suspects entered Thailand on tourist visas and leased the premises for approximately 80,000 Thai baht per month.
