Authorities stated that the group posed as employees of insurance companies and courier services to trick victims—primarily located in China—into installing malware designed to harvest personal information, enabling financial fraud. Payments were collected via cryptocurrency transactions. Investigations revealed that some suspects entered Thailand on tourist visas and leased the premises for approximately 80,000 Thai baht per month.
