According to Hyperinsight monitoring, BTC surged sharply within five minutes this morning, briefly reaching above $64,000. This minute-level “spike” wiped out several large short positions in the $63,000–$64,000 range. Hyperliquid recorded 10 million-dollar liquidations in rapid succession, with the largest single liquidation amounting to $6.06 million at a liquidation price of $63,224.

This minute-level “spike” triggered liquidations of several large short positions in the $63,000–$64,000 range. Hyperliquid recorded ten million-dollar liquidations in rapid succession; the largest single liquidation amounted to $6.06 million, with a liquidation price of $63,224.
The largest liquidation during this move involved a 40x-leveraged BTC short position opened last Friday. The address shorted 195.8 BTC. As BTC rose from $62,700 to $63,700 this morning, the trader manually closed portions of the position each time the price neared the liquidation level—executing six manual closures within one minute. Ultimately, a total of 190 BTC were forcibly liquidated overnight and this morning, valued at approximately $12.3 million, leaving only 5.8 BTC remaining in the short position.
