TechFlow News, May 30:
According to on-chain investigator ZachXBT, approximately seven hours ago, Circle reportedly blacklisted the confidential USDC (cUSDC) contract address of privacy protocol Zama on the Ethereum network.
As a result, roughly $12.6 million worth of funds held in this contract have been frozen, rendering the associated assets temporarily unusable or non-transferable.
To date, neither Circle nor Zama has issued an official statement detailing the incident. The market is closely monitoring the specific reasons behind this freeze and whether affected users’ funds will be unfrozen and restored for normal use going forward.
