TechFlow reports that on May 19, Keone Hon, co-founder of Monad, posted on X stating that the team has become aware of a security incident involving eBTC on the Echo protocol. An investigation into this incident is currently underway. Hon clarified that the Monad network itself was not affected by this security incident and remains fully operational; however, the vulnerability in the Echo protocol may have led to approximately $816,000 being stolen.
