TechFlow news: On May 16, according to CoinDesk, the DeFi protocol Lombard announced it will migrate its over $1 billion in Bitcoin-backed assets (LBTC, BTC.b) from LayerZero to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). This move follows the Kelp DAO bridge vulnerability incident in April this year—which resulted in the theft of $292 million in assets. To date, multiple protocols—including Kelp DAO, Solv Protocol, Re, and Kraken—have either completed or are actively pursuing similar migrations, collectively involving approximately $4 billion in assets.
