TechFlow News, May 3: According to Zhitong Finance, during a recent interview, Warren Buffett compared the market to a “church with an attached casino,” distinguishing traditional value investing from today’s surging short-term options trading frenzy and the increasingly speculative prediction markets. He stated: “People can freely switch between the ‘church’ and the ‘casino.’ Currently, more people remain in the ‘church’ than in the ‘casino,’ but the allure of the ‘casino’ has become extremely strong. Buying or selling single-day options is neither investing nor speculation—it is essentially gambling.” Buffett bluntly noted that the public’s “gambling” sentiment has reached its peak.
