TechFlow News, April 29: According to The Block, on Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Kaplan of the Southern District of New York issued an order formally denying Sam Bankman-Fried’s motion for a new trial and sharply criticized the new evidence he submitted, describing his claims as “highly conspiratorial.” Notably, Bankman-Fried had previously filed a motion requesting Judge Kaplan’s recusal from the case.
In November 2023, Bankman-Fried was found guilty on all seven criminal charges by a New York jury, which involved defrauding FTX customers, lenders, and investors.
