TechFlow reports that on April 26, Litecoin disclosed a recent zero-day vulnerability that triggered a DoS attack, affecting major mining pools. Mining nodes that failed to update in time allowed an invalid MWEB (MimbleWimble Extension Block) transaction to be executed, enabling the affected tokens to be withdrawn to third-party DEXs. The Litecoin network rolled back these invalid transactions via a 13-block reorganization (reorg), confirming they would not be included in the main chain. All valid transactions during this period remained unaffected. The vulnerability has now been fully patched, and network operations have returned to normal.
