TechFlow reported on April 24 that two government officials stated U.S. President Trump will dispatch his envoy Witkoff and son-in-law Kushner to Pakistan to attend talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi this weekend. According to the officials, U.S. Vice President Vance currently has no plans to attend, given that Iranian Parliament Speaker Qalibaf will not be present. White House officials widely regard Qalibaf as the head of the Iranian delegation and Vance’s counterpart. The officials added that if negotiations make progress, the vice president stands ready to travel to Islamabad at any time, and his staff will also be in Pakistan to participate in the talks. (CNN)
