TechFlow News, April 21: According to Axios, three sources said Vance is expected to depart for Islamabad on Tuesday morning to negotiate a potential agreement with Iran to end the war. Although reaching a comprehensive agreement under such a tight timeline is highly challenging, Trump may agree to extend the deadline if signs of progress emerge. Throughout Monday, the White House waited for Tehran to signal its intention to dispatch a negotiating delegation to Islamabad.
A source familiar with the matter revealed that Iran has been stalling. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has evidently pressured Iranian negotiators to adopt a harder line—namely, refusing to engage in talks unless the U.S. lifts its sanctions. The Iranian delegation had been awaiting the green light from the Supreme Leader. According to sources, approval was granted late Monday local time. Two sources stated Vance will depart Tuesday morning local time, while a third indicated he may leave late Monday night. (Jinshi)
