TechFlow News, April 7: According to an official announcement from the Solana Foundation, the Solana Foundation has launched a new ecosystem security initiative led by Asymmetric Research. The initiative centers on two core mechanisms: STRIDE (Solana DeFi Trust and Resilience Infrastructure) and SIRN (Solana Incident Response Network).
STRIDE will conduct independent security assessments of protocols within the ecosystem and publish the results publicly. It will provide 24/7 proactive threat monitoring for protocols with Total Value Locked (TVL) exceeding $10 million, and offer additional funding for formal verification for protocols with TVL exceeding $100 million. SIRN serves as a dedicated security response network, jointly operated by Asymmetric Research, OtterSec, Neodyme, Squads, and ZeroShadow, responsible for real-time incident response and threat intelligence sharing.
In addition, the Solana Foundation is offering several security tools—including Hypernative, Range Security, Riverguard, and Sec3 X-Ray—free of charge to all ecosystem projects. The Solana Foundation emphasizes that these resources are intended to support—not replace—the security responsibilities of individual protocol teams.
