TechFlow News: On March 23, an Aave V4 Ethereum mainnet activation proposal initiated by Aave Labs passed the Snapshot vote, according to the Aave Governance Forum. V4 adopts a modular Hub-and-Spoke architecture: the Liquidity Hub manages shared liquidity, while Spokes define independent lending environments—enabling more granular risk pricing and credit expansion. Initial deployment will establish three primary liquidity hubs—Core Hub, Prime Hub, and Plus Hub—covering major assets including wETH, wBTC, USDC, USDT, and GHO.
Deployment will begin with conservative parameters, prioritizing security; subsequent parameter adjustments—including raising limits, expanding supported assets, and configuring new Spokes—will be progressively implemented by the DAO. The V4 security audit spanned approximately 345 days, involving audits by Trail of Bits, Blackthorn, ChainSecurity, and a public security competition, with a total security budget of $1.5 million. Upon launch, V4 will be accessible via the dedicated interface at pro.aave.com; the next step is to submit an AIP containing full risk parameters for formal activation.
