TechFlow News: On March 17, according to Fortune, PayPal announced a significant expansion of its stablecoin PYUSD’s global availability. Starting this month, users in 70 countries worldwide will be able to hold, send, and receive PYUSD within their PayPal wallets. The newly added countries span South America, Africa, and multiple regions in Asia—including Uganda, Colombia, and Peru. Previously, PYUSD was available only to users in the United States and the United Kingdom.
International users gaining access to PYUSD will also be able to earn yield on their stablecoin holdings. Currently, U.S. users enjoy an annual percentage yield (APY) of 4%.
