TechFlow News: On March 6, according to CoinDesk, U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil of the Southern District of New York issued a temporary restraining order against cryptocurrency trading firm BlockFills, freezing 70.6 bitcoins linked to Dominion Capital and prohibiting the company from transferring those assets outside the United States.
Earlier, on February 27, Dominion Capital filed a lawsuit accusing BlockFills of misappropriating and unlawfully retaining customer crypto assets, commingling customer funds, and concealing substantial losses. The court also ordered BlockFills to account for and segregate customer funds pending a preliminary injunction hearing. BlockFills must respond to the court’s order by March 17—the date the temporary restraining order expires unless extended by the court.
