TechFlow News, February 5: Hayden Adams, founder of Uniswap, posted on social media stating that describing Layer 2 networks as “parasitic” reflects a misunderstanding, as these projects are undertaking substantial, difficult, and costly engineering work to scale the Ethereum network. Adams noted that, per Ethereum’s “rollup-centric” roadmap, such scaling efforts were always intended to be outsourced to Layer 2 solutions. He emphasized that if Ethereum aims to become more independent and self-sufficient, it must adopt a serious, engineering-driven approach—not treat every issue as a research topic.
