TechFlow News: On February 4, Binance founder CZ disclosed on the social media platform X that he had discovered a user employing AI-generated images to impersonate a close supporter.
CZ noted that the account has 863,000 followers, uses a photo of him at a Korean BNB Chain event as its banner, and has posted multiple AI-generated photos purportedly showing CZ alongside the account holder. CZ identified these images as forgeries by analyzing details such as his never wearing blue or purple clothing and inconsistent resolution among figures in the images. The original photo was actually a合影 with Leonard, CEO of Aster.
CZ urged the community to remain vigilant against such potential scams and stated that the Binance team welcomes sincere, constructive feedback.
