TechFlow news: On January 23, according to Caixin, Hu Zuoliu, founder of Primavera Capital Group, and CZ, founder of Binance, appeared together at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026. In response to Hu’s concerns about systemic risks potentially triggered by generative AI, CZ stated that the root cause of financial risk lies not in technology itself but in fundamental flaws within the traditional banking system. He emphasized that if the financial system were inherently sound, more efficient and cost-effective technologies would always yield net benefits. CZ further pointed out that the real source of risk lies in traditional banks’ “fractional reserve system.” Under this system, when banks face liquidity pressure, technological convenience in withdrawals merely exposes their underlying capital insufficiency; slowing down withdrawals does not address the fundamental problem.
