TechFlow news, January 22 — According to The Block, Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest forecasted in its latest "Big Ideas 2026" report that Bitcoin's market capitalization could reach approximately $16 trillion by 2030, with the overall crypto market growing to around $28 trillion.
Based on Bitcoin’s fixed supply of 21 million coins, this market cap implies a price of roughly $761,900 per Bitcoin, representing an increase of about 765% from the current level of approximately $88,000.
Ark Invest stated that Bitcoin is maturing into a new institutional asset class, primarily serving as digital value storage. Currently, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs and Bitcoin holdings by public companies account for about 12% of the total supply. The firm expects Bitcoin to maintain dominance in the cryptocurrency market, growing at an estimated compound annual growth rate of around 63% over the next five years.
