TechFlow news, January 15 — According to blockchain analytics platform Bubblemaps, the $NYC cryptocurrency project initiated by former New York City Mayor Eric Adams is suspected of siphoning over $1 million through wash trading USDC in liquidity pools. The project attracted 4,300 traders, with 60% suffering losses: 2,300 lost less than $1,000, 200 lost between $1,000 and $10,000, 40 lost between $10,000 and $100,000, and 15 lost more than $100,000.
