TechFlow news, December 26 — According to an official announcement from Trust Wallet, a security vulnerability has been discovered in version 2.68 of the Trust Wallet browser extension. Users of this version are advised to immediately disable it and upgrade to version 2.69.
The official statement emphasized that this security issue only affects version 2.68 of the browser extension; mobile users and those using other versions of the browser extension are unaffected. Users can securely upgrade via the official Chrome Web Store link. The Trust Wallet team stated they are aware of user concerns and are actively addressing the issue.
In addition, "on-chain detective" ZachXBT analyzed that funds stolen from Trust Wallet users amount to at least $6 million.
