TechFlow, December 17 — Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research and former girlfriend of SBF, was transferred on October 16 from the Danbury federal prison in Connecticut to community confinement, likely under home detention or residing in a halfway house, while still remaining within the federal custody system. Ellison was previously sentenced to two years in prison for her role in the $11 billion FTX fraud scheme and has served approximately 11 months so far. Prison records indicate she is scheduled for early release on February 20, 2026. Ellison testified as a key witness during SBF's criminal trial in 2023, and although her "substantial cooperation" was acknowledged by the judge, she was still sentenced to prison.
