TechFlow news, December 11 — According to Sandeep Nailwal, CEO of the Polygon Foundation, Polygon's recent Madhugiri hard fork upgrade has increased the network's on-chain transactions per second (TPS) by 40%, reaching 1,400 TPS.
Sandeep Nailwal stated that the team has established a clear technical roadmap aiming to increase TPS to 5,000 within the next six months, positioning Polygon as one of the highest-throughput blockchain networks in the industry. Additionally, a second-phase upgrade plans to further boost TPS to 100,000 within 12 to 24 months, targeting Polygon as the preferred blockchain platform for global payments.
