TechFlow, Dec 11 — According to Bloomberg, U.S. prosecutors have charged a Canadian citizen with orchestrating a fraud scheme that fraudulently raised over $42 million through the chat application Discord.
Nathan Gauvin, 26, is accused of claiming to invest funds in traditional finance and cryptocurrency markets, but instead using most of the money to pay investor withdrawals, purchase luxury goods and jewelry, and repay personal credit card bills, federal prosecutors in Brooklyn, New York, said Wednesday.
