TechFlow, Dec 2 — According to Businesswire, cryptocurrency mining company Bitfury announced a $50 million investment in Gonka, a decentralized artificial intelligence computing network. Launched in August, Gonka was founded by serial entrepreneurs the Lieberman brothers and aims to build a blockchain-based distributed GPU computing marketplace, using a network of distributed hosts to perform AI inference tasks. Its current computing resources are equivalent to approximately 6,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs. It is reported that Bitfury disclosed last month a $12 million strategic investment in GNK tokens of Gonka AI.
