TechFlow, Nov 30 — According to ledgerinsights, Swiss crypto bank Amina Bank, together with Crypto Finance Group and its partner banks, recently completed a distributed ledger technology (DLT) pilot using Google Cloud Universal Ledger. The pilot enabled fiat settlements between regulated Swiss banks in near real-time, operating 24/7. This trial introduced no new digital currency but instead used traditional commercial bank funds, demonstrating how DLT can seamlessly integrate into existing banking systems within current regulatory and compliance frameworks.
Officials stated that this achievement lays the foundation for future rollouts of "cross-border payments," "multi-currency settlements," and "integration of physical point-of-sale (POS) payments," signaling a potential shift toward Web3/blockchain infrastructure integration within traditional financial systems.
