TechFlow news, November 24 — According to Aerodrome, the domain hijacking attack it previously suffered was fully mitigated within less than four hours, resulting in approximately $700,000 in user losses.
It is reported that major wallets including MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet began displaying warnings within two minutes after the first malicious transaction was detected. Losses were limited to users who connected and signed transactions during the period when the malicious website was active.
The team is currently working with security advisors and domain registrars, and the domain is expected to be migrated and reopened next week. In addition, the Aero and Velo foundations are developing plans to provide grants proportional to losses for affected users.
