TechFlow, November 21 — According to the U.S. Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the Treasury has imposed sanctions on former Canadian Olympic athlete Ryan James Wedding and his drug trafficking organization.
Wedding is accused of leading an international drug trafficking network. The sanctions involve nine individuals and nine entities added to the Specially Designated Nationals List (SDN). Notably, the sanctions list includes multiple cryptocurrency addresses across several blockchain networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Tron, and Solana.
The sanctioned individuals include suspects from Mexico, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Canada. The related entities operate in industries such as jewelry manufacturing, private security, fuel wholesaling, and motorcycle sales.
