TechFlow, on November 11, ADP, an employment data firm, estimated that the private sector lost an average of 11,250 jobs per week over the four weeks ending October 25. This is the latest reading from ADP's weekly data series, which estimates monthly changes in private-sector employment. In contrast, another ADP data series released last week projected a gain of 42,000 private-sector jobs for October. This data aims to more closely replicate the non-farm payroll report. Following the release, the dollar index (DXY) dropped sharply, non-U.S. currencies rose collectively, and spot gold edged higher. (Jinshi)
