TechFlow news, November 6 — According to an official announcement, YZi Labs has invested in Funes, a digital heritage platform building the world's largest open archive of 3D architectural models. Funes is dedicated to preserving the physical world in 3D through crowdsourced photogrammetry and computer vision technologies, documenting, sharing, and reimagining all human-built structures.
The new funding will support three key areas for Funes: modeling, online experiences, and AI integration. The investment will be used to capture comprehensive 3D data of historical and modern architecture worldwide, create seamless interactive platforms, and integrate real-world data with technologies such as 3D Gaussian splatting, neural radiance fields, and large language models.
