Daily Quick-Rise Memes Return

$Routine – Viral Spread of an Online Video Meme

The token $Routine, short for Morning Routine, originated from a video titled "Morning Routine" posted by X user @tipsformenx on March 20. The video features a muscular man documenting his morning routine—from skincare to fitness, breakfast, and work—a seemingly disciplined and healthy lifestyle. Whether it resonated due to its aspirational depiction of an ideal morning or because of its overly polished production and subtle product placements that invited mockery, the video rapidly went viral. As of writing, the post has reached **650 million views**.

The viral video was quickly turned into a meme token. Eventually, the contract at address 4HDZNbUkTyTrgYKy2ox43yp2f8PJ5hoM7xsrfNApump emerged as $Routine, surging within two days. Fueled by prominent early buyers ("whales"), $Routine briefly approached a market cap of nearly $20 million before settling around $12 million. This combination of high virality and entertainment value mirrors earlier memes like $chillguy and $moodeng. However, $Routine’s format is more rigid and lacks the iconic, easily memeable imagery of animal-based tokens. More importantly, current on-chain meme enthusiasm and liquidity are significantly weaker than in previous cycles. Still, $Routine’s “slow-mo quick-rise” performance has been enough to lift overall sentiment on Solana during this otherwise sluggish market phase.

$Downald – Trump-Themed Meme Narrative

Just as momentum from $Routine began to fade, on Monday morning, a new Trump-related meme token, $Downald, surged past a $10 million market cap within two hours, reigniting on-chain excitement.

Earlier that day, Trump posted on his social platform Truth Social, criticizing Colorado Governor Jared Polis for displaying a portrait of him in the state capitol. Trump called the painting “ugly,” compared it to a flattering portrait of Obama by the same artist, and asked why he got such an unflattering depiction. He demanded the painting be taken down (“take it down”) and said Polis should be ashamed.

Getting upset over an unflattering self-portrait is very on-brand for Trump.

Of course, degens on social media wasted no time turning this into a joke. Soon after, a pun-based meme token named $Downald (a play on “down” from “take it down”) appeared, mocking political figures much like last month’s $pwease, which briefly hit a $55 million market cap. Within an hour of launch, whale wallets started aggressively buying in. In under two hours, $Downald peaked near a $14 million market cap.
