Sun Yuchen, member of Huobi Global Advisory Board, said, “Huobi's dream spans the stars and oceans—our vision encompasses the entire universe. Huobi will embark on this Mars Program journey together with our users, exploring the unknown cosmos! Huobi users will become the first group of people from the Web3 space to enter outer space.”
According to Huobi’s announcement, the first stage of the Mars Program will run from June 2023 to June 2024, divided into 12 phases. Each phase will feature themed activities during which users must complete designated tasks and promptly mint space NFTs. From participants each month, one lucky user will be drawn to win a monthly prize and qualify as a candidate for a trip to space. In the second stage, one candidate will be selected from these 12 candidates based on physical fitness, pre-flight training readiness, and user contributions, to travel to space alongside Sun Yuchen. The space journey will take place at an opportune time after July 2024.
The first phase of the Mars Program is scheduled from 8:00 PM on June 14 to 11:59 PM on July 5, Beijing time. Users must complete spot trading, C2C trading, derivatives trading, wealth management, or other one-time, recurring, or monthly-settled tasks before July 5 to earn space NFT rewards. Completing each designated task grants one opportunity to mint a space NFT, with no upper limit on the number a single user can obtain.
The space NFTs are issued on the TRON blockchain and can be freely traded on NFT marketplaces. Therefore, users must bind a TRON-chain address on the event page to receive their NFTs. Additionally, there is a daily cap on free mints during the event period; unused minting eligibility does not carry over to the next phase and must be used promptly. The minting window for the first batch of space NFTs runs from 8:00 PM on June 14 to 11:59 PM on July 15, Beijing time, with the draw for the first phase scheduled for 8:00 PM on July 20, Beijing time.
Meanwhile, Huobi will livestream a monthly draw to select one lucky user who will receive generous monthly prizes and gain candidate status for the space trip. The holder of the winning-numbered space NFT will become the official candidate. At that time, Huobi will verify the binding relationship between the winner’s TRON blockchain address, their account UID, and KYC information on the platform to confirm identity. It should be noted that winners are determined by a snapshot taken at the time of the draw. After winning, the space NFT cannot be transferred again; any secondary transfer will result in disqualification.
In addition, winners of the first phase of the Mars Program will receive, apart from becoming space-trip candidates, an extra 180-day super benefit of zero-fee spot trading provided by Huobi.
