The EtherPOAP OG, incubated by IPrinter DAO, was launched on the Ethereum "The Merge" node in Q3 2022 to commemorate the historic Ethereum merge. HashKey Group has consistently supported the most passionate builders and community members within the Ethereum ecosystem as the first core sponsor of EtherPOAP.
In Q4 2022, EtherPOAP introduced its revolutionary "Proofing" feature for EtherPOAP OG. According to a snapshot taken on February 17, 2023 at 17:00 (HKT), holders of EtherPOAP OG will receive "POINT" via the "Proofing" function as an exclusive early-bird participant benefit.
EtherPOAP's "POINT" officially launched in February 2023. All early participants can visit the official website to check their "POINT" balance at https://www.etherpoap.xyz/point.
EtherPOAP "POINT" Score
EtherPOAP "POINT" serves as a "POW" (Proof of Work) record for EtherPOAP OG holders who participate in "Proofing" and contribute to the community.
Mechanism for Generating EtherPOAP "POINT" Scores
The generation of "POINT" from EtherPOAP OG "Proofing" is based on three criteria:
1.) Rarity of EtherPOAP OG – EtherPOAP OGs featuring purple, green, and gold colors influence "POINT" output. The rarer these colors are within an NFT collection, the higher the weight for "POINT" generation;
2.) Quantity of EtherPOAP OGs undergoing "Proofing" – The more EtherPOAP OGs a holder owns and submits for "Proofing," the greater the weight for "POINT" generation;
3.) Duration of "Proofing" – The longer an EtherPOAP OG remains in the "Proofing" process, the more "POINT" it generates over time.
"POINT" is also awarded to active members who contribute to the EtherPOAP community and participate in joint marketing campaigns with partner projects. The EtherPOAP team plans to launch a series of marketing activities in 2023 to enable community members to earn additional "POINT" rewards.
Use Cases for EtherPOAP "POINT"
EtherPOAP "POINT" is a key foundational element for deep participation in the EtherPOAP ecosystem.
Owners of EtherPOAP "POINT" can use their points to participate in a series of raffle events on the official website at https://www.etherpoap.xyz/raffles. [Note: You must claim your "POINT" score before participating in raffles.] The EtherPOAP team will prepare a range of prizes for community members, including Ethereum rewards, tokens from compliant Hong Kong platforms, Grant tokens, additional "POINT" scores, whitelist spots for Phase II NFTs, access to whitelists for premium projects, and tickets to offline events.
The team will continue working to secure more benefits for the ecosystem. Prizes will be continuously updated on the raffle page of the EtherPOAP official website.
EtherPOAP "POINT" Incentive Campaign
Starting February 21, 2023, EtherPOAP partnered with HashKey DID to launch an incentive campaign for EtherPOAP OG trading. Users can trade EtherPOAP OGs on the Blur NFT marketplace to earn "POINT" rewards. We encourage users to earn both "POINT" scores and Blur airdrop tokens simultaneously.
Future Development of EtherPOAP
The EtherPOAP team is developing more practical use cases for community members to earn "POINT." Members and project teams can set up prizes (including NFT whitelists, tokens, event tickets, etc.) on the raffle page of the official website and receive "POINT" as rewards.
